Privacy

This site is operated by a. Contact: a. It is built so that the sound of your instrument never leaves your device.

The microphone

A tuner uses the microphone only after you press Start and allow it in the browser's prompt. The page reads short slices of the sound, finds the pitch and discards the slice; it does not record, store or upload audio. Press Stop, close the tab or leave the page and the microphone is released. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your browser's site settings.

What is stored in your browser

Some tools remember settings between visits in your browser's local storage: the tuning you chose, the reference pitch (A4), the chromatic tuner's transposition, and the metronome's tempo, time signature, subdivision, sound, volume and beat accents. That data stays on your device and can be cleared through your browser's site-data settings. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising scripts.

What the server sees

Standard web-server logs: your network address, the time and the page requested. They are kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.

Your rights

The operator is a private person in Estonia, so EU data-protection rules apply. Nothing you do with the tools is collected, so beyond the server logs described above there is nothing to request or delete; questions still go to the operator. Contact: a.
